Faculty of Information and Innovative Technologies

KNU named after J. Balasagyn

The Faculty of Information and Innovative Technologies of J. Balasagyn KNU (FIIT) is a structural subdivision of the university, which was created on the basis of the reorganization of 3 faculties (EurasFIT, FIKT, FCTI and IIMOP) in September 2015. Currently , there are 4 graduate departments at the faculty:

Department of Software Engineering and Computer Technology;
Department of Information Technology and Programming;
Department of Computer Technology and the Internet.
Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering;
In the field of educational activity, the faculty is guided by State educational standards.

The educational activity of the faculty is carried out according to a two–level system of personnel training: bachelor’s degree – master’s degree on the basis of a state license in the following areas:

Bachelor’s degree: “Software Engineering”, “Information Systems and Technologies”, “Information Technology”, “Business Informatics”, “Computer Science and Engineering”, “Information Security”,

Magistracy: “Software Engineering”, “Applied Informatics (by fields of application)”, “Information systems and Technologies”. “Information technologies”, “Business informatics”.

Educational activities at the faculty are organized in accordance with the requirements of the state educational standards of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the main provisions of the Bologna Agreement. This creates conditions for the integration of the university into a single educational space of the CIS countries and far abroad.
